Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 2.63 per cent), Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd.(up 2.1 per cent), Bosch Ltd.(up 1.84 per cent), TVS Motor Company Ltd.(up 1.26 per cent) and Exide Industries Ltd.(up 1.02 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Tata Motors Ltd.(down 0.69 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 0.5 per cent) and Apollo Tyres Ltd.(down 0.31 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was up 0.5 per cent at 25367.85 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 101.8 points at 25020.25, while the BSE Sensex was up 244.84 points at 81768.0.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 37 were trading in the green, while 12 were in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, Honasa Consumer, YES Bank and Tata Steel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Archidply Decor, ADF Foods, FDC Ltd, Suraj Ltd and Mrs. Bectors Food Specialities hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Stampede Cap(DVR), Mahalaxmi Fabric Mil, Filatex Fashions, Pansari Developers and Gala Precision Engin hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
